Emerging from a meeting with elders and other key stake holders from Kajiado County, former Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Ole Lenku confirmed reception of support from elders in Kajiado for his bid for the Kajiado County Governor seat come 2017.
Again reiterating his intention to run on a Jubilee Alliance ticket, Lenku urged his fellow opponents also in contention for a Jubilee Party ticket to abandon ship and join forces with him in the oncoming race. Present in the meeting, were elders representing all the clans and various county assembly members, all of whom the former CS said had confirmed their support for his bid for the Kajiado Governors seat.
Lenku said, “Kajiado is largely a Jubilee Party County and the errors we made as Jubilee, we shall not repeat.”
This move comes barely a month after Ole Lenku confirmed his intentions to view for Governor. The public continues to watch on as events unfold in preparation for the 2017 Kajiado gubernatorial race.
