Former Kajiado South MP Philip Lampat Ole Sing’aru who served the constituency from 1988 to 1992 was in tears after every speech made in the Imbirikani Peace Meeting held on Saturday 26th March 2016 by the current governor Hon. Nkedianye and others. The old man was moved by the sadness that rose the air that day.
He explains his tears in an ordination ceremony held at AIC Maarwe on Sunday 27th March 2016 saying that during the period he was in power, blood has never been shed. He said that since he quit politics when he came out of power he has turned to the gospel of Christ and has never attended any political gathering except this which he claimed it was a peace meeting and not a political gathering.
He urged the locals to keep peace and not shed blood in the name of politics.
