Sitting MP Katoo Ole Metito narrowly beats Kajiado South MP aspirant John Lalaito in an online poll created by the Loitokitok website on 1st March 2017. The major derivative from the exercise was that not everyone was able to vote through the platform maybe because of technological barriers.
There were three candidates, two of whom had a well-spread tight margin vote count and one who garnered only one vote. Loitokitok.com plans to repeat the exercise on Facebook. As there was insufficient data to give enough metrics on Platforms and Browsers it was noted from logs that most voters used the Android Platform. However, there were several users voting on Windows Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer and I-phone.
Security measures in place included blocking double voting by IP and cookies and of the 107 votes cast, none was spoilt. Katoo ole Metito led by 54 votes (50.5%) followed closely by John Lalaito with 52 points (48.6%) and Thomas Lekanayia with 1% (0.9%).
Loitokitok wishes to congratulate you for participating in the poll exercise and urges you to do more in the upcoming MCA polls. Kindly follow us on Facebook for a repeat of the same polls.
