The incumbent Kuku Ward MCA Solomon Kutatoi has made up his mind to back up NASA aspirant Shadrack Saibulu aka ‘Wenger’ after losing to Julius Meshuda in the Jubilee primaries.
The political scenario in Kajiado County seems to be taking new direction with the electorate seemingly pushing for change. For starters, eight of the of the incumbent MCAs have been shown the door as others wait with baited breath to see how things will shape up during the forth-coming elections.
At Kuku Ward in Kajiado South, things reached a melting point after the current MCA Solomon Kutatoi was floored by Julius Meshuda in grabbing the Jubilee ticket.
According to sources close to the MCA camp, the move has left them at crossroads and has decided to back Shadrack Saibulu Wenger who is vying on a NASA ticket.
This seems to have blown wind in the sails of the County executive, Dr David Nkedianye who recently told a political gathering in Ongata Rongai that he will make sure that his party ODM bags the majority of seats on the next county assembly.
“I want a team that will be loyal to the people of Kajiado and me alike. I need a strong team that will help the people of Kajiado realise development. After the 2013 general elections, I ended up with a team of hostile and illiterate MCAs. We are not going to that direction again,” said Nkedianye while addressing more than 300 teachers in Ongata Rongai.
